 Views of the new Workshop Training, the great Outdoors and Cafeteria Spaces AT HOME WITH GOLDENExpanding Dreams Reached at GoldenSam Golden, the founder of Golden Artist Colors, began his career producing Bocour Oil Paints with his Uncle Leonard Bocour in 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. After coming out of retirement and founding Golden Artist Colors, Inc. in 1980 with his son, Mark Golden, they went on to create the company you know today. Golden Artist Colors purchased and absorbed the Williamsburg Oil Paint company in 2010, this was a monumental event as it connected the acrylic paint manufacturer back to Sam’s roots as an oil paintmaker. In 2012, Golden has found the need to expand the space devoted to this growth! It is a dream come true for Mark and everyone at the Golden factory. More dreams continue to be realized as dedicated training and workshop space with amazing views of the valley that holds the Golden factory will be completed and our first official guest instructor in the new space will be Mary Alice Braukman in June 2012.
