Make Recipes Repeatable - Save Time and Money!

The GOLDEN Information Technology department has outdone themselves this time. Invest in yourself and read through the page on how to use the Recipe Calculator on the Proceed website. This unique tool will allow you to create sample board size quantities of a tinted mixture and scale it up to 5 gallons worth of product once the sale has been made.

Purchasing a small digital scale is highly recommended by the GOLDEN Lab in order to create repeatable results when tinting Proceed materials.

From folks in the GOLDEN Lab, the Top Five reasons to use a scale:

5. Because there is a difference between 32 fl oz and 32 oz

4. Color matching by the “A little of this and a little of that” method will surely make a LOT more paint than you need for the project.

3. You can show off to your paint friends and say “That’s not a scale, that’s a balance.”

2. How will you ever know if you REALLY got 2 ounces of paint?

1. When you make sample boards, weigh the paint components while you play and build up layers. Be sure to write the weight measurements down for each layer on the back of the board. Use these amounts to give ACCURATE square foot costs for each potential job.
